First run today in a long time—just under five miles in about 45 minutes. The Stockholm suburbs are beautiful in summer. I have always considered myself a city person, but nature is everywhere here and it’s breathtakingly beautiful. The light and the smells of summer reminded me of when I used to go for long runs (20+ miles) with my good friend Genesis when I was younger. Sadly she lives in Southern California now and we haven’t hung out in years. Those were good times.

I’ll be posting stuff here that’s at least loosely related to my getting fit and strong. And as you might have guessed, I’m a bear. This tumblr represents the beginning of a lifelong adventure. After all, I have to keep up with the other animals, and live a long life alternately hunting salmon, hibernating, and fixing computers.
